So which are the easiest poker sites to win on? For any online poker player looking to make a profit from playing, one of the first questions they should ask themselves before choosing is which site has the softest competition. If you search hard enough online you can probably find some article saying that any given site has lots of fish, there will always be some bad players on every site. What we need to decide though is which poker site is overall the easiest to beat.
There are a couple of key factors which determine the average skill level at a site:
1) Where do most of the players joining first hear about the site?
If players are joining because they saw the poker room advertised on late night TV or because it was linked to an online casino they were playing on, chances are those people are not particularly skilled or experienced at the game. They also tend to try and copy plays they have seen on the TV not understanding that in poker what may be a great play in one situation can be an awful play in another. The other side of this is if someone joined a site recommend by some advanced expert poker guide this could lead to a higher percentage of tough, winning players on that site. The poker rooms you see regularly advertising on TV are Party Poker, PKR and Pokerstars. You also used to see Full Tilt ad’s a lot but of course not now they have closed down (for now anyway). Players joining from an associated online casino are usually just gamblers with virtually no poker skills, often they don’t even fully understand the rules. 888 is a company probably better known for it’s online casino and sports betting, once there many punters will click a link to 888’s poker room. This also happens to a lesser extent with Party Casino to Party Poker.
2) Is the sites software fun to play on?
People who play poker casually and not specifically to make money want a site that's fun to play on and the poker rooms software plays a big part in this. Take PKR for example, it has state of the art 3D graphics. You can design and dress you own avatar, choose an accent for them and make all kinds of entertaining gestures and comments at the table. Believe it or not this can be really funny, especially after a few drinks. This may not attract the serious pro’s but that’s the whole point, it draws in the easy to beat players and puts off the ones who want a serious fast pace. 888 have recently introduced webcam poker to their tables which allows you to see who you are playing against, this can also add a fun social element to the games.
Considering these two factors and also our own experiences of playing at dozens of different rooms over the years, this is our top 3 easiest poker sites:
1) PKR
2) 888 Poker
3) Party Poker
